The expectations were high for this years Chanel AW17 Haute Couture show, and Karl Lagerfeld did not disappoint. The show was held in the historic Grand Palais, located within the beautiful and timeless Champ-Èlysées. Designer Karl Lagerfeld’s vision was clear, with a miniature Eiffel Tower as the shows main attraction, which the models strutted through for the show.
Big names occupied the front rows, from Katy Perry and Cara Delevingne who showed up sporting a similar hairstyle, to Netflix Original “To The Bone” star Lilly Collins, who sported a sequins top and distressed jeans.
Though the stars came dressed to impress in their Chanel finery, the models hit the runway early Tuesday in a myriad of structured, modern designs. Prominent patterns, cocoon silhouettes, sequins, unique shapes and Chanel’s notorious tweed fabrics where in-focus for this seasons collection. Camille Hurel closed the show in a couture bridal dress, with floral trims and a bow set at the base of the waistline. Vivid, colorful and abstract makeup looks were in perfect contrast to the collections obscure tones. Check out the makeup look here.
