#NSFW: Women Are Glitter Bombing Their Vaginas

Overt your eyes, children. This post is about to get real.

This year has already had it’s fair share of strange trends causing mass hysteria. From the feather brow fiasco (let’s not revisit that for too long) to the 100 coats of (??) challenge, to cheap charcoal masks that are peeling peoples skin off; it’s safe to say we’ve all had the same blank stare of utter confusion whilst looking at our phone screens, wondering why the internet is such a troll.

The newest craze people are absolutely losing their minds over has health professionals cringing. Pretty Woman Inc., owned by L. Von-Kerius, is a company that makes passion dust capsules. What are passion dust capsules, you ask? They’re glitter lube-filled capsules that make you ooze glitter in your nether regions. Apparently it’s flavored as well, to ensure a sparkly, tasty experience for you and your partner.

Yes, you read that right. They’re. Pills. Filled. With. Vagina Glitter. It is actually being marketed as “The pretty little pill that makes you magically delicious.” I know what you’re thinking. How on earth is this safe? Who would do this? Why are people insane? Where can I get it? (LOL, no.)

Though doctors have come out with statements against this new trend, L. Von-Kerius has stated on her website that all of the ingredients are safe for the body and FDA approved. Battling a tumor that presses on her ocular nerve, she was out of work due to loss of vision and was making glitter lip balms and beauty products for her friends in her hometown. One day she saw a post online that said “I Sweat Glitter”, and the thought came to her about making people glitter from the inside. The rest is history.

Doctor Jen Gunter took to her blog to discuss the dangers of literally inserting these ingredients inside of your vagina. “Just because something is safe for your lips, for example glitter lip gloss, doesn’t mean it is safe for the vagina,” says Gunter.  “After all, one can remove lip gloss and lip bacteria doesn’t control your gastrointestinal track or protect you from gonorrhea or HIV.”

It’s safe to say we can all agree that inserting glitter into your vagina is a literal recipe for disaster, right?

Wrong.

ITS SOLD OUT. Women are actually buying this product. I’d assume that women aren’t using this daily, so for some it can be used for a special night with your special guy (or girl).  If you go on the website, you can see testimonials of women saying that it is safe and they haven’t had any glitter related infections or diseases sprout up out of nowhere, so it’s really just a case by case situation where you have to put it in and pray, but I’m not willing to take those risks, despite the fact that thousands of women totally are.

What are your thoughts? Is it insane or genius? Write in the comments below! If you’re feeling brave, you can get it here.
